Savings & Checking...

At Prospectors - we believe that your money should work as hard as you do.  That's why our deposits earn competitive yields with all of our savings programs.  Deposits may be made in our office, by mail, payroll deduction, or electronically.

Savings - Regular Share Savings is your key to credit union membership. It's convenient and pays a competitive rate of return.  Money Market and Hi-Yield Money Market earn higher dividends while leaving your cash accessible; low minimum opening deposit of $2,500.  Share Certificates earn higher dividend rates than our regular savings account and have terms ranging from 90 days to 60 months. Rates vary by term.

Share Draft Checking - Our share draft checking has no monthly service charges when you maintain a minimum balance or have direct deposit.  Otherwise, you pay a low monthly fee that's considerably less than what most banks charge.  This account also gives around the clock access through our convenient VISA Debit or ATM card, "PAT", our 24-hour phone teller and our Home and Mobile Banking services.

FREE Debit card or ATM card - We offer you two ways to access the cash in your account 24 hours a day.  We give you global access with our convenient VISA Debit card or CO-OP ATM card.  They are connected to an ever-growing national and international network of ATM's.  You can also use it to pay for goods and services - and get cash back at thousands of merchants.  You are able to use your VISA Debit card wherever the VISA logo is displayed.

Individual Retirement Accounts  (IRA's) - Traditional: these accounts offer the possibility of tax deferment with earnings remaining sheltered from taxes until withdrawn. Contributions may be fully or partially tax-deductible, depending on your income level.  Roth: Also recently modified to allow more savings, these contributions are not tax deductible, but withdrawals and certain earnings provide a  tax-free source of funds after age 59 1/2, provided funds have been in the account for at least 5 years.

Education Savings Accounts  (ESA's) - Coverdell Education Savings Accounts may be opened for any child under the age of 18. Contributions are not tax deductible, but earnings are tax deferred and distributions are tax-free when withdrawn for qualified education purposes.

Family Memberships - The Credit Union is a benefit you'll want to share with your family. Your relatives are eligible for membership.  It doesn't matter where they live or work, because you are a member they are eligible to join.

FREE - VISA Debit Card available with checking  accounts.
